Meet the Production Team

Carolynne Brown

Production Co-ordinator for Business Magazines.

I have been with Academy since 2008. For the first 18 months I was a media consultant which was fun and a great experience.

Knowing and understanding the sales process from start to finish has been really helpful in my current role as 2IC in the production department.

As production co-ordinator my work day is mainly taken up with processing bookings, data entry and contacting clients to help them with their advertising requirements. I really enjoy working with a very talented production team.

When possible I love spending time with my 2 grandsons down in Dunedin.

Sarah Betman

Graphic Designer.

I’m a former graduate of The Design and Arts College of NZ and had worked in the industry for 3 years before having the chance to travel.

After grabbing much inspiration and life experience from my OE, I have settled back in to Christchurch with my two Burmese Teddy & Archie. I joined the Academy late in 2011. They are a great bunch of people and I am really proud to be part of the production team.

I design all day and all night, I’m obsessed with food, I relax by watching reality TV (in my tracks), but most of all I love spending time with my awesome friends & family basically  making the most of life!

Georgia Due

Graphic Designer/Production Co-ordinator.

I have always had a passion for art and everything crafty, so my study of choice was always going to be arts and media.

After gaining my Bachelors Degree here in Christchurch, I settled into a beachside villa and  found my way to Academy Diaries.

I love the outdoors, especially the beach and when Im not drawing and painting pictures of waves, I spend most of my time with my horses and my dog Rei exploring the forest, beach and hills of Canterbury

Olivia O’Callaghan

Graphic Designer/Production Co-ordinator.

Growing up I was always drawing or mucking around with design on the computer, so it was only fitting that I moved from the West Coast after finishing high school to study Graphic Design at the Design & Arts College here in Christchurch.

I’ve been a part of the Academy family now since March 2015. My role as a graphic designer sees me working closely with both clients, and the production team to create the adverts for our Magazines.

In my spare time I am completing a tattoo apprenticeship, so it goes without saying that you will find me drawing, painting, or tattooing. Aside from being arty, I am a coffee fiend and love spending time with my dog Ollie, or relaxing with friends.
